School's out 2010

I made a Best Ever Rhubarb pie the other day. Here's how it looked. It was sure sweet.
School is finally finished for the year (except the girls have one more Riffenburgh afternoon tomorrow). We had our presentations on Friday afternoon. M and A both did a report. M spoke on Scotland and showed pictures of some things over there. A did her report on volcanoes. She had written her report shortly after our last presentation and she was real excited. Paul helped her make a volcano.

I forgot to take a picture of M while she did her presentation. I was so excited to listen to her. Here's A reading her report and....

...here is her volcano erupting! We had a 2 liter bottle of coke in her volcano and then we added 7 mentos candies to the coke and then her volcano erupted. She did a great job.

Food and Kids

I had my jewelry party a couple of weeks ago. It was lots of fun. I was able to get some new jewelry pieces and ordered some for the girls for Christmas (if I can keep them out of things when the jewelry arrives). This is one of the desserts that I made for the party. It was very yummy. I had seen the recipe on one of the blogs that I read and decided it would be perfect for the party.


Last Friday, we headed to Plumb Farm in Greeley. It was a very chilly day. The kids enjoyed looking at the animals. We didn't stay too long.
