Brendan's cake

Here's the picture of the lego cake that I made for Brendan. I was not real pleased with the final outcome. By the morning, it had started to sink from the weight of the cakes on each other. Brendan and his grandparents were very pleased with it and it tasted yummy!

E turns 6 years old

Today our girl turned 6. Where have the years gone. She got a new bike for her birthday. She enjoyed riding it yesterday when we didn't have any rain.

E. wanted a balloon cake so here it is. I made cupcakes and attached ribbons so it looked like a balloon bouquet. It was nice to have such an easy cake to make!

Here's E with all her friends!

Kiddos and purses

We went up to Sky Corral again to do some video work and to explore. It was such a beautiful Sunday afternoon. M and A loved climbing on the rocks and D and E enjoyed the mud!!

I made these purses with the bottoms of some jeans that I cut off. The designs were already on the bottom so all I did was sew up the bottom and the top and then added a handle. The flower purse took the longest. I had to make new flowers because the originals had fallen off. I also did the bottom different so I wouldn't lose the cute pink velvet at the bottom.

Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday was a busy, but fun, day. The kids got up before 7 so they could have their Easter Treasure Hunt before we had to run to Church. They finished their hunt and then filled their bellies with chocolate. They quickly got on their new dresses (and vest) and I took pictures and then we headed to the church. We had a continental breakfast at church and then I had to sing in the three services at church. When I got home we started getting supper ready. Paul's parents came and then our friends the Whitakers joined us. It was a yummy meal and we ate way too much.

Friend's Farm

We recently took another field trip to a farm. This time it was to a friend's farm. The kids loved playing with the animals and their friends. They had chickens, goats, ducks and highland cows. They will have turkeys in May. I hope that we will be able to go back to see the turkeys and the new baby calves that are to be born soon.

Anna had no problem catching the chickens. She is so good with the animals (as you have probably noticed from the other farm pictures of her)
